I beat a new GT at the track in the 60' in a dodge charger sxt v6 that I rented. Look on his face was priceless when I told him I just rented it.

What year is that charger? I have an insanely hard time believing that.
2013 SXT is 0-60 in 6.5 QM in 14.9
68 dodge charger auto (v8 presumably) is 0-60 4.7 and QM 13.3
2011 ford mustang GT is 0-60 4.5s QM 13s
2011 ford v6 is 0-60 5.3s QM 13.8s
Doubt you meant the Ford GT Supercar because that is even less believable.

Do you know what 60' is though? It was a 2012 model for the record and its not hard to believe an auto v6 beat a v8 manual to 60' because of wheel spin. I have videos but no video of the race against the Mustang, the charger was painfully slow ran a 9.x in the 1/8th which was the same as my old pick up truck.

not all drivers are created equally and power under the curve is not a dohc's specialty

. However, the specs i Linked from zeroto60times.com werent even close really.
edit: derp ok if I slow down I understand what it is now XD But still, I stand that I wouldnt think its possible, but hey the V8 + crappy stang suspension does give some wiggle room for it

Done exactly the same thing.
Funny cuz my mom's ''04 ragtop V6 Stang was actually kinda quick..... for a V6, that is....
IF you sidestep the clutch on the rev limiter.....

Keep in mind those times are acquired on a closed track with professional drivers. Most people at the local strip on an open "run what you brung" night are not that caliber of driver usually.

I work on the crew for my land lords 67 al'camino (al for alcohol) and our test and tune nights are done in conjunction with what they call "lights out" or open track night. I have seen some strange **** that you wouldn't think is possible.

Money doesn't buy happiness, but it buys a Jeep. And I ain't ever seen a sad person in a Jeep!!

Guy next door to me has a 12 3.7L mustang with a borla exhaust. I hear him bumping his factory radio everyday coming home. So I cranked my $2400 JL on him, he turns it down. I ask him to race, he says he doesn't wanna push his car that hard. *****. I have a 17yr old Jeep and i know for a fact I can outrun him. On the 96-99? Chevys with the 5.7, I embarrass them daily. One tried to cut my off leaving work, I knew he was gonna stomp the gas at the light, I stomped it and left him. get the hell behind me. ZJ owns the road. Every light is a race. Ive even beat a duramax....03ish model from 30-80. I'm rocking the cherry bomb with a niner tip...it's such a nice combo.

It has nothing to do with how many camshafts an engine has. For example, the Ford F-150 EcoBoost V6TT is a DOHC that generates peak torque at 2500rpm, compared to the rest of the market, that all peak above 3000. The EcoBoost and the two Japanese trucks are the only DOHC trucks currently. Hell, the JK's got a DOHC V6 that peaks at 4200, with torque coming online at just off idle.
