Couldn't agree more. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who views their zj as their female companion lol.

When you finally start to lift it and almost immediatly find out why it has been making weird noises att railrod crossing,s speedbumps and when you hit a hole in the road.

This is why...

The spring had snapped at the top and bottom... replaced both isolators that also was bad..
The shocks was also bad as soon as i removed the top nut the shock fell down on its own...

Forgot this: You see that this part is missing on the frontaxle and thus making the cambolts useless...

I still have the long holes but the cambolts was replaced with normal bolts by some PO

When you laugh/cry at a fj cruiser is stuck in sand that a sedan got out of and wish your zj was running to pull it out.

Should I bother lifting my zj at 203-215k miles? Just put on Monroe matic plus shocks

Bother lifting? That depends if you want to take the money responsibility and do it! Don't let miles scare you, just remember there will be more parts to replace.

Eh. If the shocks are good enough (are they? Monroe matic plus shocks ) I just need to buy the 2" spacers. Then tires.

May need longer shocks, made for a 2in lift. A BB wouldn't be too bad. It'll make worn out components show quick. You'll be replacing alot of parts on the front end for sure.

That's what I don't want to hear...what do you think the shocks are good for? At least 1"?

They come with factory lockers and ATRAC so the owner was a nimby.

He's an angel dressed in oilskins; he's a saint in the "Sou'wester,"
He's a pluck as they come, or ever can;
He's a hero born and bred, but it hasn't swelled his head,
For he's just the U.S. Government's hired man.
