Wow. I feel lucky to have a huge, shaded driveway and garage. With 90% of it all to myself. (Could probably fit 6 vehicles in the unused space). Now if only I had more of the experience to know what i'm doing rather the muddleing through bit by bit...

You know you driver a zj when you never even changed your own oil before, but now you've had to learn how to swap transfer cases, fix u joints, wheel hubs and oil leaks, just to afford to keep it running. And when the list of things needing work is longer then the list of things accomplished....

I only had my jeep ZJ for a month... But I think we are getting along so far. Not sure, why everyone calls it a "she", but this is a GUY. Totally he.
Like that old joke: "You know what is the difference between good friend and a best friend? Good friend will bail you out of jail. Best friend will be sitting next to you in the cell laughing and saying THIS WAS AWESOME, DUDE!"
Well, ZJ is like best friend. Toyota land cruiser, might be your good friend, but ZJ will be your best friend. And what best friends do? They troll each other. So I'm ready for tons of trolling. I love my charger A LOT, but I don't want to do anything with it, I want to keep it as it is, all stock, everything. I am afraid what if I break something? But my ZJ made me want to start fixing it, make me want to get dirty, get tons of tools and parts and start spending weekends with it. Don't know how? Well get on it and do it! No other cars did this to me. ZJ has tons of charisma, but definitely a male. He is like your male friend you can do stuff with you'd never do around women

Simple: He borrowed money from a bank.
I did the same thing, but I've been working on rebuilding my low credit score, I'll borrow money for a vehicle, pay on it for a year, and pay it off. My credit score went from a 300 to a 625 in the past 2 years, first loan was a cosign by the missus(great credit score, I've got 2 divorces inder my belt already, which messes up your credit) Second loan was on my signature alone, and we just bought a house, hence the huge jump in scores.
But now I get credit card offers everyday in the mail, I just tear them up and toss 'em. I don't need that much credit. The payment on the jeep is 96.00 a month. But I borrowed more than I needed so I could buy a tractor too.......

Just had this happen...weird. Before beach trip, vibration at 45, after beach trip, running jeep through deep soft sand, no more vibration.
But, FYI, a vibration at 45 is indicative of a wheel balance issue, less of an alignment issue....
Still doesn't make sense.....

45mph is the beginning of the speed range where the harmonic oscillation that causes ZJ death wobble, just saying.

To the other discussion, my ZJ is a she. Can't go feeling intimate with a dude or saying "come on baby, hold together". Her name is Cheyenne and I love her.
