I thought I was the only one that did that lol. Woke up this morning and had to check my bank account to make sure I didn't have a lift on the way

I just want stock replacement. Around $464 shipped from rock auto. Now if only my sad hasn't lost the front track bar I bought.

Omfg same! My friend has an Isuzu Rodeo and calls it a jeep. Im all like "Bro, that couldn't be a Jeep if you did a full swap of everything in it with my Jeep."

When you fix something that has almost always been broken and you think the normal behavior meant something was wrong.

Fixed my A/C not too long ago, one of the lines had a leak. I started noticing the jeep being more sluggish and kicking down more frequently up hills on cruise control...couldn't figure out why until it dawned on me that now that the a/c has no leak, the system actually has to work hard and saps power to keep the air cold lol.

haha! I know, right?

ZG is better on all levels. It's needed basically no parts in the last 2.5 years.

Frontera/Rodeo, snapped door handles, welding every year, excessively noisy. quality wasn't great.

My buddy's Rodeo's driver door handle just won't stay connected to the linkage, it's kinda hilarious

I know how you feel, a few months ago someone shot out my rear window with a pellet gun. I was ready to kill someone

310k and just blew up the original 249. Also had third gear band and torque converter replaced at 290k. Still runs like a charm.

I'm just under 152k. Top end of the engine has been redone and the trans has a modded valve body, but everything else is original.

Also, if you want a new 249, PM me. I've got the one that came out of my niner at 105k sitting and collecting dust. VC is still good, it's yours for whatever it takes to get it to you.

When I got the ZG, it had a massive primer deep score from the wing all the way to the back panel

I used one of those mini black paints, humbrol, for an airfix model I had in the house. did a good job hides it quite well.

Had to be the drivers door! lol I've only ever broken the ones for the rear doors myself

My 249 is on its way out I think, only 135k. You can hear the tyres scrubbing on tight bends. Unless of course it's the rear diff...

think I'll just leave it until it breaks. it's hard to sell these things for spares in the UK. especially when the majority are in Eng-gah-land and I'm in Scotland lol

Thanks, but my father got one from a local yard with a six month warranty while I was away last week.

Other than that, I really don't see the point in a Wrangler. What can it do that my ZJ can't do better? And, sure, ZJ aftermarket is more expensive, but when a YJ would cost me 5 times as much as what I bought my ZJ for, and with only a 4-cylinder engine, why would I even go that route? Not to mention the TJ's huge price. For the price of a 6-cyl TJ, I could get a niner, lift it, put big tires and better axles with lockers in them, and still have comfy seats and an air conditioner. So I really don't see the appeal for an uncomfortable, overpriced, open-air dumpy thing.

I mean, see my sig.
i wouldn't mind having a TJ but only because i like the styling... when someone says jeep the first thought everyone has is of the MB/CJ/Wrangler styling... and for the classic styling i'd rather go the full way and get an MB

and some would argue wranglers have manual without being stuck with a 93/94 or doing a swap... though my answer to that argument is "i'd rather get an XJ"
