I don't think that's a factory thing. Never heard of it, never seen it in any ZJ I've ever looked at. Maybe dealer or aftermarket.

That's what I figured. I've never seen one in person just in a few forums where guys were wanting them.

Same here, my '94 C1500 won't die. It doesn't run great, but it doesn't stop running. Damn thing's been overheated more times than I'd like to count, its first 80,000 miles were as an AT&T work truck, the last 50,000 have been at the hands of my dad who doesn't understand maintenance, and it's probably running at half of its oil capacity right now. It's got piston slap so loud, I thought it was rod knock at first. The only thing working right is the transmission, which was rebuilt about 5 years ago. The steering, brakes, electrical, HVAC, suspension, and engine are all pretty well shot. But it hasn't stopped running or left anyone stranded. (Except when my unattentive dad forgets that the fuel gauge doesn't work and doesn't top it off)

Chevies may not be comfortable, nice-looking, or the most powerful, but damn they can't die.

You know you drive a ZJ when the operating problems of a Chevy sound familiar.

Hahaha! Sounds like you got my truck, 'cept what I thought was a piston slap I found to be a busted exhaust weld! Dodged that bullet.

when you try to crank up the radio to use it as a stereo and the speakers sound like a motorcycle backfiring
