I believe you can buy pretty much everything in
that kit for about 100 bucks at harbor freight.

Dana 35c behind a 242, behind an AW-4, behind a 4.0L Inline Six sitting over a Dana 30, all turning stock 215/75/15 tires and moving a 93 Grand Cherokee to places your truck only dreams of.

It's pretty much the same price from what I've seen. but does everything look adequate? Not all that familiar with ac work

You may just need a recharge. I went to autozone and grabbed that "A/C pro" with a needle n stuff for $50. Charged up and now i have ac!

95 FiveTwo ZJ, DD, Lifted, Locked on 35s, Build (in progress)

My 5.9 swap (in progress)

Want your zj to be doorless in 60 seconds?

I tried that. Compressor only kicks on and off repeatedly. When it kicked on, pressure drops all the way to zero. Then off, pressure goes up to norm. won't stay on unless I jump it. Don't blow cold air at all and makes a horrible sound like there's a bad bearing when clutch engages. Been atleast 5 yrs since It was done.

mine did that too, i ended up putting nearly 2 cans of the ac pro in mine before the clutch would stay engaged. Now it works pretty good with my new fan clutch. Although mine did have an ambient outside temp needle on the charge handle and it gave u a window of "good pressure" for what the outside temp was.

X2

Remember to turn the can to the 12 and 3 positions while you are charging it or the stuff in the can won't flow out properly, honestly I just turn the can all angles as I'm filling without really shaking it

The first readings are generally inaccurate if you are low and will bounce around but will steady as it gets full

I mis spoke. When the clutch stops trying the pressure reads maxed out on the gauge. Way past the ambient temp window you shoot for, then drops to zero when it try's again. On and off every seconds or so.

And the line stared to freezing up while I added to the system.

hell yeah. I went and bought two cans (I have a needle and gauge) and I just shook the cans up and flipped them all over the place and it worked great. that whole "keep the can vertical" stuff is for the birds

Okay people are blowing this waaaaaaaaaaay out of proportion!!!

So a zj has the gas tank, then a metal crossmember if im not mistaken and then a metal bumper and bumper cover. Sure the tank is plastic, a lot are cars are even new Kias and Hondas.

Also if thats bad then wat about my 1997 Trans Am that is basicaly the tank a heat shield, plastice under bumper and then bumper? How safe is that? Or a 1969 Z28 you fillit with gas from behind the plate, thats tank then bumper how safe is that?

If it was a really bad problem it wouldve been done years ago. Ive found court cases from 07/08 about this.

And sorry for the rant but it pisses me off that in todays society that everyone plays the blame game and sues everyone. Next think you know you will be sued because your wheels are too shiny. Wait already saw someone sue for that
