I think a zj with a nice tight steering, addco sway bars front and rear and good shocks and springs and good control arms. I think it would be good at 100+ there's plenty that do it with niners over on speed freaks

Back in '02 I had a '97 Orvis. Drove it from Ft Myers, FL to Tallahassee, FL in just a hair over 5 hours. It's over a 400 mile trip. Spent plenty of time over 100 and it never felt like I was on the verge of losing it.

Ill keep my ZJ forever as well. the only way its leaving is if somebody hits me and its too bad to fix. in which case i would get a niner and make it a super fast asphalt princess.

If I was gonna make a speedy Jeep, I'd work on aero to keep the front end from feeling floaty. Obviously, brakes and suspension work.

Of course, if I wanted a speedy SUV, I'd get a GMC Typhoon. <3

Those tow hooks aren't there for me. They're there for the XJs.

Mine got a lot more stable at high speeds when I threw the UC coils in the back. Having the thing raked a bit more seems to keep the nose planted better. Some further experimenting with the removable front lip / air dam is in order though.

took mine up to a 100 the other week. Honestly I felt more comfortable in the 2001 f150 i used to drive at that speed, and I hated that thing. She floats like a dream when its nice a warm out and i'm crusin' at about 65 though.

I only make $1 more an hour because I became too addicted to work instead of school. However, have been and always will be a bicycle mechanic.

I'm totally blessed that my parents pay a lot of my stuff...at 20 here's my bills:

groceries $80 per month if I'm frugal
Gas twice a month $60 per fill ( half tank!)
Jeep fixes...average of $50 per month
*Car insurance, $100 per month I think
*Tuition of around $1k per month average
*Rent $675 per month
Internet for $60 per month
Girlfriend fees: $30 per month barely keeps her happy...usually more
Misc supplies: $20 per month.

Its expensive to live. Starred items my parents cover (though technically my college savings is used for tuition, my parents just take care of it for me and have promised to continue paying when it runs out granted I graduate with a 3.0)

$30/month in girlfriend fees?! Jesus man, you got a cheap one. I'm at around 60-80/month.
