That was my thinking. M62 only came to mind because you can get them from early Xterras, and I know a guy.

Nothing's wrong with them, but everything RWD ever has had an LS1 put into it. Mustangs, Miatas, CJs, TJs, XJs, ZJs, 240s, Z-cars, Rangers, RX7s, I could go on. Everyone goes LS1, and there's no creativity in it. A lot of cars have kits available, and everyone else can at the least buy a standalone wiring kit, so it's just weld-new-mounts, drop-in, and go. There's no challenge, no ingenuity in an LS1 swap.
I'd never deface my }eep by taking away its I6. Nissan motor, psh, why? If you want a unique Jeep, build it to last. I've blown the pistons out of two ricer engines in my life, only to hear myself say "I need another Jeep!"

Why not swap in a 440 big block? Or a hemi(a real hemi). Low gears and a 4 speed. Ummm

Indeed I do but it's kinda pointless since the wiper blade is shot

I'm not sure either of those would fit without hacking a ZJ to pieces, they're probably too wide.

When you're pulling apart the front to find the death wobble cause and find this in the lower control arm..

I don't build cars to be useful. I build them because I like them and because I have ideas. I like character more than horsepower, and while an LS is a technically great engine with awesome horsepower, it has absolutely no character. It's a bland motor used by everybody.

To that end, I'm keeping the inline 6 in my Jeep. It's different. Nobody today except BMW still use gasoline I6s. Everyone makes a V8. Not many people have a supercharged 4.-something straight 6.

GM used a 4.2 I6 in the Trailblazer and such up until a couple years ago.

The LS is used by everyone because it makes a ton of power easily and swaps into a bunch of things easily. A boosted 4.0 is much, much cooler though (and a cammed and boosted 4.0 with a ported head could make some serious power, possibly enough to worry about the stock bottom end holding up).

That's the metal sleeve inside the axle side of the control arm bushing that's supposed to house the bolt, which is supposed to be circular, the sleeve had something go wrong because its the shape of a tear drop, scumbag rough country, called them and just have to find my proof of purchase to get another free.
