My exception to this is full size truck bumpers. I think those can be fine in chrome because they're just plated steel and steel is practical for a truck bumper.

I prefer subtle touches to make a car look good. Maybe painted brake calipers or red valve covers. Good paint and taking care of fading make a huge difference. A clean-looking drivetrain on vehicles where it's visible can add some major points. I'm even all for an aggressive but sensible exhaust tip (chrome or otherwise).

Blacking out your car and putting illegal amounts of tint and 20" black chrome wheels all just looks dumb. I won't eschew you the right to do that to your car, but I think it's dumb. I still hold that headlights should be uncolored, taillamps should be unhindered, and HIDs only be allowed if properly installed.

Back on topic, you know you drive a ZJ when the only reason you still have last week's gas in the tank is because you haven't driven it this week.
I agree with the bumber statement. Probly one of my favorite parts of my obs Chevy to look at.........that and my 5% tint all the way around, including the camper shell, but hell, there's a lot of sun down here in Florida!

OT: when you parked it on the front lawn after work jus cuz....neighbors gave me funny looks when I hopped the curb and parked there like it was a driveway!!!!! Hahahaha

She doesnt need to understand or like it its YOUR jeep!, plus white looks 10x better going down the road and it shows off what kinda tires you got.

IMO, unless the tires have enough sidewall (notably more than stock), most tires look better with something more subtle than the white letters. Black letters, etc. is fine.

I feel in most cases, white side in is the right side in. I do run whitewalls on my car though; it came with them from the factory.

A full multi page thread already exists here about it. It's full of opinions. But it's probably unsafe to have the white in because cars won't be able to see you from the side as well, increasing the probability of you getting t-boned.

And I'm really, really screwed, as my tires don't have white letters on either side!
