xj parts on a zj?

Im trying to help out a friend who is sick and is building a 94 V8 zj for his 16 year old son i have a 99 xj parts truck would there be anything on the parts truck that would be a up grade for him

The HP30 would be an upgrade, but the gearing probably won't match (the ZJ more than likely has 3.73's). The ZJ undoubtedly has the NP249 with a bad VC, the 231 or 242 from the XJ would be an upgrade however most likely not worth it, due to the rear slip yoke differences and input shaft differences.

That's about it.
