Anyone have a write up on changing a CV style driveshaft to a U-joint style driveshaft on a WJ? 247 TC.

I found your write up but all it was is about this crush sleeve deal. I needa figure out how to replace my old cv style to this new u joint style. I not sure how to install the new yokes or anything. And did the crush sleeve deal ever fail you? I know a shop can do it but was wanting to do it myself. Any tips?>

so far so good with the crush sleeve...i still have it in the back of my mind that it will fail on me and cause problems but thats not the right way to think..
anywho, to replace the cv style shaft you have to just remove the bolts holding the shaft to the yoke at the axle side then remove the inner shaft with a prybar ( i used a 5 ft prybar lol mine would not come out) then just unbolt both yokes and replace them with a u joint style yoke ( read up on how to "properly" install the new yoke at the axle side with the whole crush sleeve ordeal)..

So nothing special on replacing the yokes? Just take bolts out and install new? Is there gonna be fluid exposed coming out?
