Wow...just wow...KOR TC Skid Carnage inside (dial-up= NO!)
I had a pretty good stuck on Cliffhanger in Moab last weekend, and I'm sure glad I went with this beefy armor. Take a look at what I did:
Coming up on the offending rock
Had to take a strap to get off of it. I was balanced on the KOR Crossmember and TC Skid
And now for the carnage....
That skid is not supposed to be curled like that
Note the rock rash on the support bar going from the unibody rail to the skid
My TC is actually sitting on the skid - normally there's about 1/4" gap between the case and the skid.
More rock rash
I'm yet to confirm this with KOR, but it appears that I actually opened up the L-bracket on the leg that goes from skid to "frame" rail. This let the skid come up just a smidge, and makes some interesting sounds.
It actually got forced into the unibody rail just a smidge
Proof positive that drivetrain protection is of paramount importance when working on your build. Always, always, always plan armor into your budget - you won't regret it!

that is great looking... make me want to pick up a KOR memeber, and modify it for my 231, and to beef up that bracket.

It's possible that if I had bolts in the vertical part of the L-bracket, no harm would have been done, but I can't be sure of that.
I came down hard on that sucker, and I also went back and forth trying to get off the rock, so that skid took a serious beating. Exhaust took a few scrapes, but that's about it.

Hmmm...... It looks like your tire should have been placed over that rock, if it was at all possible.

Coming up on that obstacle, there's a really tall ledge on the right that puts you pretty offcamber. There are a few lines there, but only 1 that works. I don't think I have any pics coming up on it, so it's hard to see. You're right though, the one I'm over is a real diff killer.
