Pst, you don't have a 5th gear

It won't shift to 5th because you don't have a 5th gear. Make sure fluid is at the right level. Mine would stay in 3rd, jump to 4th, and then quickly go back to 3rd. Turns out I was just about a quart low of ATF.

I don't know if it pertains to a '95 or not, but someone recently said that if the speedo isn't working it could cause the tranny to go into a limp home mode where it won't shift right. Try fixing the speedo problem and see what happens.
