wj poor radio reception

has anybody else run into a poor fm radio reception problem with their wj? so far i have replaced the antenna mount and cable all the way to the radio, and have tried different radios with no luck. any ideas?

nope im just outside of detroit, never had a reception problem until this jeep.

yea its about 45 min away from me. i dont know how it could be a connection prob all the antenna cables are new. it also seems that driving the reception is worse than sitting still. now the only piece left of the old antenna system is the mast which i think i will get a new one to see what it does.

By the mast, you mean the actual antenna itself right.....That will probably make the difference. Why did you have to replace all the cables and everything in the first place.

trying to fix the problem, there is not really any way to test them.

my factory and 2 aftermarket radios do the same thing so i have ruled out the head unit as the problem.

i notice bad reception in my 04, vs other peoples cars. Prolly is the mast... mine comes loose every now and again, that'd be a good bet

i plan on doing that also, there are 2 that bolt to the innerpassenger fender and im going to take them off and clean them to see if it does anything.
