ok, this might sound dumb but, i was under the impression that all wj's had cv driveshafts, but I looked and my overland has u-joint driveshafts. Besides being stronger, what are the benefits of u-joint driveshafts of cv? And that carolina shaft is beautiful man! Makes me want to de-rust mine, lol.

The CV's tend to implode when they get any increase in angle which happens when you lift a jeep. The U joint and double cardon U joint will tolerate this increase in angle much better and the double cardon will keep vibes at bay.

Mine was ~$300 with both yokes so without one I would guess $250-275. Call them up and get a quote.

I measured from the CV "mounting plate" (I guess you could call it that) on the transfer case to the center of the u-joint

I considered but with upcoming plans I don't think i'll be wheeling much for quite some time. A stock one should suit me just fine, just gotta check the lengths since I am lifted.
