WJ fender flares!!!

has anyone purchased and installed these in their WJ yet!??!
still debating on if i want them and how hard it is to install.
and also if they are worth it.

pics of them installed on other rigs other than the one from iceland and pics of the install would be great...

Haha I've been waiting for someone else to try these first. They're way down on my list of stuff for the WJ. I have a long list of "needs" and these flares are at the top of the "wants" list.

But please do test them out for us.

Oh yeah, sorry about backing out on the spare tire carrier, I was running low on $$$. And now I'm even lower, but if i had bought the carrier, I'd be broke. But I'm still interested in one, it'll just be sometime this summer.

haha! no problem i know how evil $$$ is it sucks if only we could still trade buffalo skin or corm lol...

well reason i am wanting these is because i went wheeling last weekend and had quite a bit of rubbin with my 2BB and 32s so i want/need these flares as a temporary fix but they are on my want list.. and i am getting paid tonight as in my in the process lol.. im anxious...

wondering if ill need spacers so my tires dont look so far in.....

my list of mods is almost complete... them will come all the needs lol.... for mow i am doing the wants since its what changes the look...

by needs i mean axles and stuff like that....

on my wants i have flares steel bumper from iceland, 6 claytons lift, wheels and 35s, sliders

and then for needs i have axles... haha and whatever else breaks then thats gonna be a need...
my rig is almost done...

well just let me know when ever your ready for a carrier.. im in no rush so take your time lol...

Haha our "needs" and "wants" are pretty much opposite.

Needs:
Fix my current clunks and PS problems (this'll be done within the next week)
Front bumper
Winch
Learn how to weld
Sliders
Some way to get the spare tire out of the trunk
6" lift, either claytons or RK

Wants:
Flares
33s or 35s
regear or new axles + regear (4.10s for 33s; 4.56 for 35s)

The unfortunate:
My rear axle is on it's way out and I'll most likely need to replace that before I'm financially ready to upgrade.
Also I think my alternator is about to die, and I'd like to upgrade once it goes, so that's more unplanned $$$$.

hahaha... well my dad taught me to weld it takes so much learning im still kinda learning...
and about the alternator, mine is bout ready to go too haha but ill just wait till it dies so that way i have more money to spend on my lift kit and stuff like that...

bout regearing i think ill get new shafts on my same axles since i dont wheel too hard or too often...then regear is somewhere around last on my list lol...

im only planning on doin a 4" tera flex lift and 305/70.17 tires so i dont think ill need whole new axles... the tires are 34s so pretty close to 35s

how much did you drop down on your axles???

well i figured out what to do with my spare before i even got bigger tires so i wouldnt have to have it in my trunk since i didnt wanna take my system out...

im guessing were talking about icelands flaires. i think there sweet, everyone says there too expensive but really there not considering what you get out of them. its like a lift and flaires all in one. you can now fit bigger tires, keep the cops off your ***, and look bad *** at the same time. BTW i think the WJ flaires are way better looking than the ZJ flaires, i say do it. your WJ will be cooler than anyone elses IMO. if your looking for the ultimate offroad set up the only way to go is low COG.

They do what they designed to do and don't look terrible on a limited, but my concern is how are they going to look on a laredo. I guess if you black out all the cladding, it would look ok but the limited just flows a lot better.

well lucky me to have the limited lol....

i amm trying to see if they can throw a package deal together for me since i want the proto fab bumper flares and the 4" lift...

the fenders look sweet but i still have to gather some cash to get them painted so i think they are gonna be on the rig for a few weeks till i get them painted...
