WJ 4.7L Head gaskets?

Anyone done them before? i drained my oil today and guess what. time for head gaskets, which is weird because i was never overheating.. anyhow, how hard are they to do? as simple as pulling heads off, slapping new gaskets on and off we go? (check clearences on the heads with straightbar and feelers to make sure i dont have to have them decked) other than that is it pretty straightforward?

And another question, if i swapped a 02 and on H/O motor in my 01, would i have to change anything other than the motor? (wiring, computors, sensors)? or can i just swap in the cams and the intake manifold?

Should be able to just throw in the new head gasket and go...

You should be able to swap in a HO motor, but you might need to steel the pcm from the donor, I'm not sure about that you may wanna check with 10achik. However if you never over heated you should be fine.

An interesting idea that I had if you've got a dead motor would be to get a 4.7 out of a 2008 WK (305hp vs. 265 and better MPG) it would definitely take a bit more work but if you're already doing a engine swap...
