2" budger boost ??

I am going to put a 2" budget boost on my 04 grand cherokee.
My tire size and rim right now is 235/65R17 .......what tire size can i go with with the 17 inch rims with no trimming ,not sure having that size rim is a blessing or a curse.
Was going to put a 4 "lift but i want to keep it simple on this jeep as its just a daily driver and i really want to just beef up the appearance a bit.
In the process of buying another jeep for a winter project that will be a bit more extreme.

a 30 or 31 inch tire is your best bet.

IRO has a nice BB kit for the ZJ. It comes with 4 spacers, and it's 59.99.

Great pictures... I ordered my Rough Country BB this weekend, so hopefully I will have something to work with this weekend. I went ahead and got shocks that came with the spacers, RC Hydro 8000s. I'm planning on new tires about the same time I head back to school... are your tires causing any rubbing? Thanks for the help and I can't wait to get my BB installed.

you can run stock shocks?
I ran mine and did just great...

the tires will be ok but is recommended you use spacers if you run 31s or bigger!!!
i ran 265/70/17(32s) and didnt use spacers it rubbed a little bit but wasnt noticable at all to me!!!
i did need some trimming on the front bumper cover and proper bump stops

this was all the trimming i did!!!
not bad for 32s huh!!!

good lucl to you guys with future BB mods I just sold mine too thought i had to move up haha!! B was fun tho never had problems and install only tool about an hour fly solo!!!

Why is it the ZJ spacers are only $60 while the WJ spacers are $160? Thats some bull shizzle.

I couldn't figure that out either. I think the WJ has different sized springs or something. The ZJ uses the same spring size as a lot of other Jeeps, so I think since competition was already out on the market it is much cheaper. I'm pretty sure you can use XJ and TJ springs on a ZJ, but I might be off.

I'm just glad I drive a ZJ in this case

is the iro kit an xact 2'' or is it 1.75''? I think I'm ordering it this weekend unless i hear other wise from the wife or you guys on here! she already said yes but I'm waiting to hear a good review.

p.s. I'm getting the shocks too that come with the kit for an extra 140 because after 210k miles on the stock ones the ride is a little rough! t

some people do run the stock shocks, but when you go off road they will act as limiting straps and not let suspension out as far. will also mess with the ride alittle bit, and they will wear out faster. i would buy new shocks for the sense of security.

I'm pretty sure it's 2"

But you could measure before and after to make sure! then you could let all of us know.
