Wiper delay not working correctly

Hello Guys,

So I changed out my turn signal assembly by the steeringwheel - I had two last speeds, no delay speed. Also the window washer button was very loose and activated all the time when I was indicating turns.

So I put on a new one and tested it with a ignition on - all the wiper arm delays work good.

But when I start the car I only have the last two speeds. The delay speeds are gone when the engine is running.

Is it the wiper module, that needs re-soldering?

That's interesting.

on my '93 it takes only a few minutes to pull out the delay module and take a look. If you see it burnt fix it.

If at first you don't succeed, use more speed.

I will check it on Sunday, just thinking, if it can be something else.

Update:

The wiper module was good, no burned tracks, also changed all the capacitor for a try. But still nothing.

The relay in the module clicks, but very quickly, I dont know why. I also checked the resistance from the signal assembly - the resistance changed good, when turning it on delay speeds.

What next?

Odd that it works one way and not the other. I would get my hands on a wiring diagram to see how source voltage is switched.

solder joints. It is probably contacting when the cold contracts it all, but the heat expands it and it stops contacting. Take it back out and look over all the solder joints. If one looks iffy, reflow it.

Solder joints seemed OK.

But I have a new working module and I can test the old one more.

I will report back, if I find the real problem.

FUNNY MINE DOESN'T WORK CORRECTLY Either but mine when put where delay should be is just on low speed.. It stays on low for about 10 minutes then it'll cut off & It'll wipe again in about 3 minutes. Turn it off & It'll start over & wipe on low for a good while but then it shut off. I was wondering if mine was in the motor .
