Windows Not Working

1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Had a sudden change when both a rear directional lamp went out and the power windows stopped working. When the lamp went out (on the left), the left directonal was blinking (on the dash) much faster than it normally does. Replaced the bulb and now it is fine, but windows still don't work.

Replaced the circuit breaker on the fuse panel (inside front pass. door) with no luck. I don't see any indicator that the fuse panel under the hood controls the power window circuit....any ideas for the next step?

check the wire connections in the actual door like where the window switch is, it may have come loose. i know the windows wont work if they are not connected....just a thought

windows not working

I actually took the door cover off, changed the 4 way junction box (sorry I am a female and don't know the correct word) where the switches are at. Re-connected the two square boxes to it, changed the fuse and it still does not work. Should I look at possibly the window motor? But usually one motor per window, all 4 windows won't work. If the 4 way switch does not work, does that stop the other 3 windows from going down?

I am bumping this thread to see if any of the previous posters had luck with thier windows. I have not readressed this issue with my Jeep since I posted this thread. I see whtapeople are saying about the window motor, but it seems that is ALL the windows won't go down, thw problem would be central in the electrical system, not peripheral.

Any new thoughts out there?

Either a broken wire in the door harness, between the door and body...or the master window switch in the drivers door is bad. Both are common issues.
