Will a XJ front ds fit my ZJ?

Will a front drive shaft out of a 98 xj 5spd work in my ZJ? It's not going to be permanant, just something to get me through the impending blizzard. Thanks guys.

Just as long as the compressed lengths are similar, it won't be a problem.

It should work, I've read something similar in the XJ forum.....You may have to remove a flange on the CV side of the shaft...but that was only on certain ZJ's I think.

It may be too short so you will want to measure both shafts before you swap them.

Did you ever find out if this worked? I'm wanting to swap my driveshaft on my zj and was wondering the same thing. Thanks
