there are dozens on the 703 swap, its a rather simple thing to do. melk has a good writeup on it that I tried to follow... The airbox cutout I got the idea from someone on the forum...rather simple just dremmel the front out. The restrictor removal is easy too, just take the top of the airbox off and you'll see this white thing in there, there are some tabs that release it, though it is pretty tight in there, i broke the tabs on mine lol but not a big deal since I'm not putting it back in . If you do those, one by one you won't notice a difference. Together, you get a nice little response and power increase. Also clean the TB...its probably got all kinds of horrible carbon buildup on it.
oh one warning if you cut the front out of the airbox, most on here will tell you and I realize, if you wheel in any water, it will splash up and drench your air filter...don't do it if you go offroading a lot. A safer thing to do would be just remove that silly snorkel thing going from the airbox to the grille.
yeah, i figured that.. i probably wont do that, just in case.. but i'll deff take out the restricter.. haha, so, just out of curiosity, why is there a restricter on the Jeep in the first place if it runs better without it?
'94 ZJ Laredo, 4X4, I6 4.0L, cladding repainted! (krylon fusion) all stock at 245,000 Mi and running like new!
something called a 'ventuiri' effect. Not quite sure what the benefit of that is, but I think it causes hesitation for people who are stupid and unintentionally punch the accelerator...probably reduces noise too.
