I'll even pay for that tank of gas. Please just stop. I didn't even talk mods, stock they aren't doing anywhere close to 150 and i'd wager it's not doing 150 even with your "mods".

I'm not doubting 125 mph....even 130. What i am doubting is 150, i don't think some of you realize how much harder it is for just that extra few mph when you get to those speeds. Maybe doubting just 1 person here..

Are you seriously telling me that the a 5.9L 1998 vehicle won't even come close?

I was willing to make a wager but your not , not much I can do now is there . Pointless to argue if you won't let me make you eat your words You had your chance .

My jeep has more than 245hp . Closer to 300 . Did you read the thread at all since your first comment ? Jen even said she took hers to 130 and was still climbing but backed off .

Man , some people are so stubborn . Lol
Both of you obviously don't understand the laws of physics, and how aerodynamics work. An M5 is a purpose built car that was meant to travel at high speeds. A ZJ is not.

I highly doubt your ZJ has 300 horepower, and even if it does, I can gurantee you that's far from enough energy to push that two ton brick to 150 mph.

This is a really idiotic discussion.

My 740 is also a 2 ton brick with almost 300hp. It's electronically limited to 155, which it can do easy. I've read that without the limiter, it can hit 165-ish. So, I'm not too quick to state that 150 in the 5.9 is impossible... incredibly crazy to try, but i don't know that it's impossible. Idiotic discussion? Yeah, probably.

For a guy that bangs on about "physics", you sure do seem to think that vehicle weight has some effect on top speed and that "stripping" things will significantly help somehow.

This. Naysayers are ignorant trolls.

Hehehehahahahawhawhawhaw!! I have a video of my speedo maxed out and my GPS saying 150+ somewhere around here. When I find it I will post it. If you could read the speedo and GPS, though, that would be more helpful. Whole vehicle was shaking like crazy! I need to dig that up

Then again... I was going downhill on the interstate. Same place I went 55 on my 50lb mountain bike which ALSO shook like crazy near the end! My buddy said I was white as a sheet when I got to the bottom, and I am extremely inclined to believe him

Anyway, anyone notice that the OP totally backed out of the escalating conversation/argument around page 4? Haha smart dude!
