Whoops! (Pics)

So this happened,
image-1907445893.jpg

Pulling in to work, tried to avoid hitting a blind woman driving a camry and hit a curb pretty much sideways with the front right wheel.

Was driving to another building and damn the steering feels looser than usual. And the bad cv joints should make it shake like that!

Grabbed the floor jack out of the supply cabinet popped the front end up a little to have a look. Noticed the track bar mount on the frame, shouldn't something be connected to that?

Track bar was resting between the tie rod and the pumpkin, grabbed the socket set from the cabinet, pulled it completely.

I have -290 points.

-300 for breaking a suspension component in a parking lot.

+10 for breaking one I have a spare of.

Theres a brand new JKS adjustable track bar (thanks kolak!) sitting in my garage waiting to go in with the rest of the lift, I'm assuming I'll be able to get it set right for a stock suspension, it would be a shame to have to put in the rest of the lift just to fix a track bar

Home is about 10 miles away, can I take it slow and get there or am I best off just calling a tow?

Was great, with my boss and my floor manager in the car too. The floor manager bought his son a zj and wanted to show the kid my steering to make him stop complaining.

I'd check the runout on that right front wheel! A hit like that might have tweaked it a fair bit.

Got the track bar fixed, PITA to get the sheared bolt out. Doing the cv axles now since they needed it and contributed to hitting the curb. Will know more once those are done but my steering wheel is about 45 degrees to the left of center, what else could I have f'ed up?

Drag link and tie Rod are likely bent.

Will check those, it wasn't driving too bad yesterday with the new track bar. This morning I've suddenly got vibrations from hell, front end starts to vibrate once I get up to 30 or so and it keeps shaking till I come to a full stop. It was vibrating a little at highway speeds yesterday but I could accelerate through it. Not really interested in trying that today.

Ha, toe in is 1", shoulda checked that sooner, but I was trying to get to work on time today, so much for that idea. Do I need to get the wheels balanced? I didn't change anything with them, and it doesn't loot like I knocked off a weight. I'm running severely low on $$ with the niner getting new innards, I had to give my mechanic some parts money so he could get the transmission, and now I have all of like $350 until payday.

Check the axle control arm mounts. A hit like that can easily bend the lower mounts or even damage the control arms. Also, depending on the amount of lift, the right side upper control arm mount on the axle can be driven into the side of the oil pan and it can even break the oil pump inside. (Don't ask me how I know this) I would also take a good look at the ball joints and the knuckle on that side. I suspect that you find additional damage once you dig into it. And pics are always fun for us couch potatoes.

I'm assuming the tie rod should be straight and not look like this:

Or this:

The ball joints and the knuckles looked ok, but I don't have anything to compare to, I'll toss the tie rod and drag link and update. How can I check the knuckles and ball joints? I shook them when the wheel was off and it felt ok. CA's look ok too and it doesn't look like they hit anything.
