Where are your extra lights mounted?

Had mine on top of my roof rack, I think if you click on my profile you can see the pics. But i took them off so i can fit my kayaks up there, and because its my DD and its a PITA not being able to fit into parking garages. So where else is good besides ontop to put these? I have 4 6in 100 watt KC daylighters.

could you remove your wind faring and put them under the top bar? Aside from that, get a light bar for your bumper but that's a lot of lost airflow to your radiator. edit. mine are under the top bar on a homemade rack so my kayaks don't hit it.

I like my a pillar mounts.

I've seen some good looks mounting them behind the grill, but not with the bigger halogens. Get the factory fog brackets from a JY if you don't have lights there already. I also have LED fogs in my bumper.

I have mine mounted on a safari bar in front of the bumper. They're tougher than people give them credit - I've had it put to the test. You could put 4 lights on it if you added a bracket to the mounting points.

can you post a pic of your set up? sounds like something that could work for me.

Also, i just have the oem plastic bumper. Do you guys that suggested the bumper mounts have the oem bumper, or steel?

Edit: Nevermind I didnt realize you were the same poster that i already commented on your thread about how much i loved your roof rack that you built. There isnt enough room for me to put them underneath the top bar on mine. But EVERYONE ELSE post pics of your set ups. I thinking about going with these pillar mounts from detours for two and doing the other two on the bumper.

The a pillar light mounts are easy to make.

The first gen factory fog mounts should be easy to find.

i have my 2 4" HIDs mounted up front. i pretty much attached them how the factory 93-95 fogs are attached from the factory, i think (ive never really looked at the factory mounts, but it looks like the similar position. they work great, but i do plan to put some light up top eventually

I found with having lights up top, if my windshield wasn't completely clean then I would get an awful glare and I would have trouble seeing.

I have 2 KCs mounted on my brush guard in front of the grille.. never noticed any differences in temperature. They were really easy to route and converge nicely being up front and close together. Before these I had a set of el-cheapos in the same place and used my factory fog light pigtail to run them..

ProtofaB winch bumper. no reflection from the hood up there, good and High but not up in the over hanging branches so they see little to no trail carnage.

"Custom Fabricated" some brackets at work today, meaning I hacked up a pair of stainless steel mounting brackets that we had laying around the shop that once went to an older model of Thule rooftop storage bin. I think theyll be strong enough with a little more fabrication (hacking). I mounted them on the two bolts that sit just between the grill and the bumper cover as someone suggested. Metal work is not a strength of mine. Ill post a picture of what i did in the morning.
