Where is an open fuse

I have been trying to wire my cb without having to goto straight to the battery, and i have no idea of how to wire into a fuse box or where an open fuse that is not already being used. i know of two fuse boxes and id prefer to stay inside because idk howto go through the firewall without drilling. im new at this.

Hook it up to the cigarette lighter wires if you want it to shut off when the key is turned off.
That's the way I did it.

Only those who will risk going too far
can possibly find out how far one can go.

I think this is how I wired mine up. If you look at the fuse diagram you can see where everything goes to. I wired my PA to the cigarette lighter fuse, my CB is actually an old base-station I inherited that gets way better reception than regular stuff that I use an adapter to the cigarette lighter to plug into...my driving/fog lights are wired I believe to my security fuse or something that I don't have.

This reminds me I need extra fuses....I don't think I have any left for replacements :P

Or your fuel pump... Either works just fine. You can drill through your firewall (which I have done) just make sure you fill that hole with fire RESISTANT goop. I can show you what I did a bit later.. they also make grommets for a firewall hole which are essentially the same thing although they're fire retardant. 1. Flame resistant - The characteristic of a substance to resist ignition and to self extinguish if ignited.
2. Flame retardant - A chemical substance used to impart flame resistance. I can also show you how to wire it by staying inside the cab and going behind your dash to get to the fuse box.

I would just use the auxiliary power source wire right next to the cigarette lighter.

Unless they didn't all come with that. Maybe it's just a Limited thing?
