Where is my speedometer gear??...It's gone!!!

Okay, so found the wep page that details how to go about putting a new Speedo gear in the trans. if you put a lift kit/bigger tires and other mods that could effect the accuracy of your MPH.

Well, I have a 99' Jeep Grand Cherokee, with 4WD and 6cylinder. So I crawl under the jeep to look for where the cable plugs into the rear of the housing and it's BLOCKED OFF!!!....from the factory!!

So now what? What do I do!?? Where did they move it??

Thanks for any input,
James

Starting in 99, the Grand Cherokee no longer uses a speedo gear in the tranny. It's all computerized. There's a sensor on the rear axle that counts rotations and it sends information to the computer for calculating speed, miles per gallon, etc.
