Where to Mount PA Speaker in WJ

Just purchased a cb and it came with the option of a pa speaker and I figured what the hell mine as well put it in if you got it. I'm just wondering for all you WJ owners where did you mount your speaker? Thanks

I'm interested in this as well. I need to get a cb soon, and I've always wanted a pa system. Might as well get them all as one unit.

What cb did you go with?

I have a 100w siren speaker in mine (goes with the Interceptor Siren/Light/PA Box).

Its mounted on the left side behind the front bumper. Securely attached to the unibody back there, lots of room.

I had one under the hood on my XJ, I moved it out to the front because you could barely hear it.

Crazy I went with this one:

http://www.walcottcb.com/complete-pa...th=340_377_379

I mounted the cb itself in the ashtray area of our WJ it fits perfectly although the speaker is a bit muffled so I might get an external speaker.

Has any found a way to mount the speaker to face out the front grill?

Did you just run the wire through the firewall located on that side then?

I'm gonna need to save up for a decent CB that has this option... A bud of mine has one with his Siren package in his XJ...there is ENDLESS fun to be had with these.

He mounted his up behind the bumper in his XJ - my only concern with that is water...after the last Jeepskool, I don't trust putting anything below my doors because it'll get flooded out and under the hood it might not be loud enough. Another kid had one at JS - I need to ask him where he put his in his ZJ that it survived.
