Where is a good CB antenna location?

I want to put my CB antenna in the back, maybe use a bracket for the tail light, and I want it to look clean. What's a good website to get the bracket for the CB antenna for the top of the back lights? Is there another good spot to put it on in the back to hides all the wires? Please post pics of where you have mounted your CB antenna.

Where did you get the mount for the antenna that goes above the back light?

You can buy a kit or you can buy a door jamb mount with a spring and antenna Jeepers and Creepers has the kit and the link in the other thread and I bought mine off eBay.

I got around $20, I didn't pay shipping for it because I bought the spring, antenna, and mount all together from the same seller and he lowered shipping.

Ok so I got this angled cb mount from Firestick.

I Got the FirestickII adjustable antenna 3', though I now wish I went with a 4' as I would have gotten a better signal. It works great for wheeling, I had no probelm hearing anyone on the trail. So it depends on what you are going for.

If you look at the light you can see where the wire went in.

It was a perfect place. It looked like it might pinch but NOPE. It made it possible to pop off the interior pannel and put a slit in the gromet in which the break light wires goes through and then run the cb cord. I then ran it up to the underside of the driver dash to the cb.

If you wanted it to be more sleek you can always paint it to a close match with the paing of the car.

I plan on getting a 4 foot Firestik. Could you possibly find a link for the mounting bracket? I think I will run the wires down the body of the car like you and bring them to the CB at the dash.

http://www.firestik.com/CatalogFrame.htm

Is the link for the bracket.

Here it is forsale.

http://www.walcottcb.com/firestik-ss...unt-p-317.html

The best thing to do is go to the firestick website and pull the model number into google and you can get 100 different places that sell the same thing. Pick the best price. Voila!

Edit: I like that mount the best because of its adjustability.
Model SS-204A:
Screw-on connection
MSRP* $19.99

Door Jamb Mount.... Sorry I thought the link would go there.

Not sure if you're asking me cause of my link of WJJeepin, but I got the same one he has from premiere-electronics. The only difference is I mounted mine on the pass side. Get the SS door jamb mount.

Also - don't sweat the criticism, that's what these threads are for - helping each other out.

Good luck.
