where can I attach a towstrap?

I've yet to put tow hooks on my 98 Jeep zj and I was wondering where a secure place is to secure a recovery strap on. Any suggestions?

Nowhere, until you install tow hook frame reinforcement brackets.

Dig some up at the junkyard, on the JeepForum For Sale section, or buy some copies of the originals on the Internets.

But don't just slip the loop over a ball hitch. Get one of those D ring hitch mounts, usually can score them for $20-30 online

Or feed it into the hitch and use a good hitch pin.
