What would you do?

My friend is looking for a Grand and is wondering which year, motor, etc. to get. Any opinions? He really likes my xj but his wife wants a Grand because she likes the looks of the Grand better.

ok, two main issues to consider. pre '98 or after '99. Which body style suits you more, the '99's have 6 extra inches added to the rear end. From what I have read the 2002's are the best year from 1999 to 2003. I have the overland model, I love the 4.7 HO. its a great engine, and lots of power. I would highly suggest a V8, the I6 is just too much of a dog, in my opinion. either the 4.7 or the 4.7 HO. As far as options, its a personal thing, what toys do you want, I wanted them all. You also have to find how much you are willing to spend. I don't suggest getting one right from the dealer. I got a solid deal on a 2002 in May of this year with 10,500 miles on it. Another thought, go to www.wjjeeps.com , they have more info than you care to know about the WJ's. Click on model year highlights or changes. any more questions? write back

Have your buddy take a look at www.nagca.com under photos and www.jeepsunlimited.com/forums and then under grand cherokee and under member's rigs.

He can see what he likes and doesn't like.
