What is this wire in my engine compartment?

Took off my battery today to charge it and noticed a strange wire that's not connected to anything. It's a red wire that's about the same thickness as the postive battery wire. But this one has a clear seethrough dome with what looks like a bulb in the middle of it.if you follow the wire it leads to the bottem left side of the firewall. Do any of you know what this wire does or is?

Amp power wire, if they did it correctly they should have wired it with a new battery terminal connection.
At least they thought to unhook it before they unhooked the amp and let the hot wire flop around.

how the phuk can you tell its from RF? Its just corrugated wire housing on a standard red wire, could be from homedepot.
