A. What are the specs on your jeep?
B. You should really use jackstands before you crawl under your Jeep.

The underside of your Jeep looks a bit different from mine. I don't recognize that rounded metal pan thing. The part that appears to have a hole in it. The pan in front of it, above the exhaust pipe is obviously the oil pan, and the one behind is the transmission pan. I'm stumped.

The fluid could really be oil, trans fluid, or PS fluid. It could be flowing down from higher up on the engine.

if its tranny fluid then it could be thr seal for your converter.Mine did the same thing, about $3-400. If its oil then it could be your rear main seal, not sure how much to fix.It is hard to tell with pic's but if you can let us know if its tranny fluid or oil you may get better response.

What color is the fluid?
Is this a 4.0 engine? could be the back of the valve cover leaking oil!
If its muddy looking it could be coolent?
