What I do not like about this top-of the-line model is the cancellation of the Up-Country suspension option, an odd thing to do on a model that is supposed to be the ultimate off-road Jeep from the factory. I will modify the shocks springs and tires to make up for this loss, but the point is I should NOT have had to. And, in the, ' Believe It Or Not " column, they offer a TWO WHEEL DRIVE OVERLAND ? Ya Gotta be kidding me ! It's as though a bunch of people with NO understanding of the Jeep brand, and its history make these decisions. It's like a bunch of foreigners, not Americans, now control the Jeep brand.[/QUOTE]
Yeah what a bummer, mine just squeeked through with a June build date.......
"Up Country Suspension deleted as of September, 2003. Prior to that, Overland models were available with and without this option. When the no-cost order code SDA ("Quadra Coil Suspension") was selected, it actually deleted the Up Country suspension option, unbeknownst to many dealers and customers. No credit was given)."
