what does this

when i first start my zj and put it in drive and go to drive away it has a hard time moving. i really have to give it some gas its sorta like the tranny isnt catching but then after driving a couple hundred feet its goes back to normal. whats up with this?

Torque converter is draining. let it idle a minute or two in neutral before you take off or dig into the tranny to fix the drainback valve.

No matter your vehicle you should never just start it and go within a few seconds. Always wait a minute for oil pressure to come up and get everywhere in your motor.
'97 zj 5.2, some stuff, some other suff, and some things that even work sometimes.
