Finally got everything together, and it looks better than expected. Only problem is that the previous owner hit a deer as I've said, so the hood now won't shut with the new grill, headlights, and everything else. So now I guess I'll have to try and bend the hood back so that it's not pushed down and in some. It's just ever so slightly pushed down and in, but just enough to not let the hood shut. SO annoying. I need my Jeep to haul all my stuff off to college on Friday, and it's definitely not going anywhere until the hood is fixed. Can't have my hood flying open down the highway. Looks like I'll be spending all my free time tomorrow fixing everything else I can.

Looks good, just needs some bigger meats! I have 235s with a BB and think they're too small, I can only imagine how you feel!

What I don't understand is that my two O2 sensors are finished and my ZJ runs just fine...

Changed the oil. 5 quarts of 10W40, and a quart of ATF+4. It's a trick I learned.

As an aside, are the valves supposed to tick like a diesel after a fresh oil change? I haven't driven it anywhere, but down the driveway, to park it behind the Pathfinder again, but that little stint, it was full-on Cummins, without the smoke. Oil pressure's fine and it reads right on the dipstick. Maybe it's just not coated up top yet? Never had an engine tick like this, not even the VG30 in the Pathfinder, and those are famed for ticking on start.

replaced the airflow blocking air hat hold down with a $2.98 home brew S bend rod, actually feels better down low like its breathing easier, the stocker blocked a good 1/4 of the butterflys... next step is to redo the TB and have my Y pipe collector installed

Needs parts?

Brought it back to the shop that replaced my radiator and water pump because it was leaking coolant again... Guess who needs a new timing cover! Of course, the shop didn't notice that 3 months ago when I had it in so now they want to charge me $400 for a new timing cover... anyone ever replace one of these themselves?
