Tranny Went To Limp Mode This Morning
This morning as I was leaving work I pull out of my parking spot and I was thinking Jeep feels really heavy. Sure enough 2 seconds later CEL pops up.
Feels as if my Jeep is starting in 3rd gear. It goes into all gears just not 1st I believe.
I hope it's the solenoid everyone talks about.
If so how much does it cost? Which brand should I go with? How easy/hard to install? Is ok to drive as long as I take it easy on the Jeep?
Ok I pulled the code and got P1757. My stupid code book only goes to P0998
Thanks to google P1757 - Governor Pressure Above 3 PSI When Request Is 0 PSI.
What ever the hell that means.. Anyways I cleared the code, had I drive to the mail box about 1 mile round trip and I had ALL my gears back like nothing ever happened.. So I guess I will wait till later today to see if it comes back... Might have been a fluke??
And it sucks that the Governor Pressure and Trans Solenoid are inside the tranny
