No. I was running late for work so I really couldn't stop to help. Otherwise, I would have. I did, however, stop with my wife to help a lady with a young child move her stalled Blazer out of an intersection. The guy behind me honked at me and flipped me off for stopping and no one else helped until I got her Blazer over the crest in the intersection by myself. It wasn't an easy task. I'm 5'6" and weigh about 145 pounds. I don't really have that much mass to give me the leverage I really needed. Moving the Blazer really wasn't in my favor but I somehow managed.

Sound proofed the passengers side door this evening.

This is the second and third layers being installed from a four layer system.



I put black electrical tape over the edges of the door holes to keep from getting cut up when install this stuff.



When I knock on the door now it sounds as solid as concrete.
I've been putting this off for a long time, will do the other doors tomorrow.
Don't know when I will get around to doing the quarter panels, tailgate and floors.

Only those who will risk going too far
can possibly find out how far one can go.

Is that electrical tape on your thumb or were the door panel screws on so tight that you had to put a phillips head adapter into a 1/4 inch socket and try to balance that on the head of the screw while you slid a 36 inch cheater pipe over the end of the ratchet for leverage only to be startled by the ringtone of the JF forum app on your phone?



Looks great though, bet it would be nice to have that kind of sound reduction. Almost like riding in a limo.

Help Me Build My Exhaust

Over the weekend I added a Rugged Ridge knock off header and added a WJ intake with Bosch "703" injectors.

Now I want to do my exhaust (ALL MAGNAFLOW). I am doing 2.5" from the collector all the way out back. I need some opinions on cats, mufflers and tips.

Mufflers - would there be a difference in these 2 style of mufflers. They're about the same, just different lengths.

I'm guessing about 5 pounds in each door.
I have 80 pounds of sound proofing material that should be more than enough if I do everything.
Will just have to play it by ear deciding where to stop. May just do the doors, hatchback, rear quarter panels and maybe the rear floor.

My tires are a little too noisy and now my new 3" exhaust is also rather loud, but in a nice way.
This stuff also insulates very well which should be nice for hot days.
I would like to have this 5.9 ZJ quiet like stock, and then look for a good sound system.

I took it for a drive and the passenger side did sound quiet, even without the back door being done. The drivers side sure sounds loud now!!!

Short muffler or long muffler, all depends on how loud you want it.
I would go with the shorter muffler where it sounds like a truck and not a soccer mom car.

As for the tailpipe, I kept mine hidden up high with a turndown tip. Better clearance and I think it looks better this way.

You can see the tip a little below the bumper here.

Going to the stealership to pickup my TJ Gas Bezel mod and going to install that either today or tomorrow after I bedline the Bezel

Has my Cat removed and installed a new muffler. 5.9 Sounds beastly
Did 1000km of driving with no issues with towing a little storage trailer for camping.

Ordered a new magnaflow cat. Should be here by Friday so I can install it this weekend along with removing my front drive shaft because my vc is blown out and I can't afford to do a 242 swap yet.

Well I changed out everything to get the misfire to stop even swapped the injectors around to just see if its that. Idk just trying to get it to stop.

First day here, what a great people helping, I did a compression test today, dry and wet, ahh number one is baddd 112 against 170, piston and rings out soon, well is how we learn, looking for those knock, knock until the end, lol
