Your first picture, I didn't even touch that vacuum line where it goes into the Jeep. I inspected the line, there's now cracks there at all.

Also I looked at my cruise control vacuum line, which looks like your vacuum line in the first pic, again I didn't even touch that line and it looks good.

All lines are in good shape, show no signs of cracks. I will go out side and take some pics

First Pic - Vacuum line for cruise control

Second Pic - Vacuum line for HVAC

Third Pic - Same vaccum line for HVAC where I had to re-locate it on the side of the intake

Well I took my battery and battery try out, traced the vaccum line that goes to the black vacuum box and everything was fine there.

I connected everything back up, grabbed my break cleaner and started spraying the vacuum lines with no changes in the idle of the motor.

Where is my vaccum leak? Maybe an intake leak? My jeep idles perfectly though so I am confused

Finally took out my front driveshaft! The thing feels like a sports car compared to before because my VC is bad. And it spins the tires effortlessly, I'm loving it

I am all sorts of confused...

With the Jeep running, I unplugged both cruise control vac lines (pic 1) and you can hear the vacuum sucking.

I then unplugged the HVAC vac line (pic 2) and again you can hear the vacuum sucking.

I then pulled the new hose coming from the side of the intake (pic 3) and once again you can hear the sucking. So I then made sure I installed the check correctly

And finally I unplugged the break booster hose, again vacuum is sucking.

Everytime I pulled a hose off, idle jumped up, plugged it back in, after stunbling a bit idle went back to normal.

Now the only line I did not unplug bc I need the jeep running is the vacuum line going to the black vacuum box..

Any suggestions????

On one manifold swap I read about the booster grommett where the fitting is started leaking after the swap. I think he put some silicone around it and it helped. A mech stethoscope is handy too, cheap at HF.

In the pic below you'll see that on the new intake there are 3 nipples on the side that are used for vacuum. I am using 2 out of the 3 nipples to pull vacuum.

Here where it gets interesting. In the pic you'll like I stated above that I am using 2 of the 3 nipples, the other nipple is capped off with a blue plug. Well for sh!ts and grins I decided to pull the blue cap off to see if I could hear a vacuum being pulled.

I started the Jeep, and yes vacuum was being pulled. So just decied to go into the Jeep to turn the air on jsut to see if anything changed. Well I'll be damn, the aire was blowing at my face, my feet, defrost you name it.

I'm not sure if cruise control works, but I'm sure it does now.

So now i'm even more confused, because technically speaking I have a vacuum leam with the blue cap not being on the nipple. But having my vacuum leak is allwing my air to work. If I cap it, I have no vacuum leak and my air and cruise control do not work.

Anyone have any ideas????

I still have my stock exhaust on there for now. The header bolted up to the stock front pipe. I will be re-doing my exhaust
