I've got a thrush welded on my i6. it drones at 35 mph. Not bad on the highway, but gets annoying in town.

I don't mind the noise otherwise, it's just slightly louder than the stock replacement.

93 red ZJ 190k 4.0. Spent more money than I should have ...

Isn't red the only color a vehicle should be?
If at first you don't succeed, use more speed.

I'm also in Irvine but need to get some new tires and track bar bushings before wheeling.

On a side note I realized my new serpentine belt must be more rough than the old one because it's taking the paint off my idler pulley. I'm hopeful that some new Energy Suspension track bar bushings might solve my wandering problem. They are just about the only thing I haven't replaced on my '93.

I got one out of the junkyard but I still need to get the yoke from the axle.

Yeah, I will be running headers and full exhaust in the near future. The exhaust sounded good like it was but with no cat it throws a code. Sounds mean as hell right now hacked off at the muffler, not overly loud either.

It honestly would have looked great with bigger tires on those wheels when it was lowered...but that's not my cup of tea. I got the 255/85/16 BFG KM2s with Mickey Thomson classic locks on it tonight but I have to get longer control arms, IRO told me I'd be fine with stock arms but there is no way in hell. I have serious DW too. SO, I guess another $500 will be going there way for some arms. Looks great with the new wheels/tires!!!!! Pics after I get the arms on.

When you get that stuff worked out lets go out and do some wheeling!! And on my 94 I joke with my wife that I am slowly buying a new car one piece at time.

Drove it to work for the first time after getting it running. (4" fresh snow, -15 wind chill.) 249=>231 swap, shortened drive lines front and rear, got the rear straightened and balanced last week. Need to service the trans when it warms up and the snow melts from under my "shade tree".
