Transmission is done and ready to go in. Got the PCV grommet, hose, and valve in.

Left to do-
  • Install transmission
  • Install transfer case
  • Install driveshafts
  • Clean CV joints, install new boots, and install shafts
  • Change oil
  • Flush transmission cooler lines
  • Install/torque wheels

On Topic: Ive been making some progress on the mold for a fiberglass snorkel. Probably just a couple hours more shaping and fine tuning, then comes glassing

Installed the transmission and transfer case. Here's a word of advice for all you...in order to properly do an air passage test, you must have the overdrive unit installed. My dad and I wasted a day not knowing that. It helps to read the manual every now and then...

Anyways, get everything in but driveshafts, fill it with fluid, it starts leaking. We run it in hopes to stop the leaking (convertor was not filled), still leaks but not as much.

It shouldn't be overfilled, but if it somehow is, I'll be the happiest man alive. I DON'T want to drop that thing again.

As much as we were taking the oil pump in and out messing with the air passage thing, the o-ring is possibly worn down. Dammit.

went out 20 minutes before work at 7:40am and there was atleast 2" of ice on it. i poured a couple gallons of hot water on the door jambs to get the drivers door open then started it and had to let it warm up enough to open the back door to get the ice scraper out of the back. made it to work on time but the storm continued and i got out to my jeep after work at 7pm and i had no snow on the drivers side, but the passengers side had 2" of ice and snow hanging off with snow streaks all across the hood and roof and the whole back end was covered in a couple inches of snowy ice. looked pretty cool..wish i would have taken a picture haha

You drive a tj, we drive a zj. We have more power while you get more shower. We get the v8 while you get there too late. You have 2 doors well, we have 2 more. Ours costs a grand while yours has a price we cant stand.

well it al lstared when i misdiagnosed a bad battery and the parts guy said think you need to check your starter but i decided to go with it and do the battery thing simply because it had a 350CCA interstate that fit into 1/2 the battery box and the punch outs where all in so i had no idea how old it was .
so i got a 60mo 650cca carquest batt and guess what it was the starter after all so plunked down 75 for that
and she rips right off and sounds good as new
, this weekend replaceing both upper and lower door pins on the driverside

Borrow or get ahold of a dremel or angle die grinder for the door pins. You'll thank me later
