Drove it 6 hours home from Death Valley. Smooth sailing the whole trip, though the 4.0 is a bit gutless on the highway compared to my truck. I did overheat the brakes some coming down a long descent, so I'm thinking of installing vented rotors. If anyone knows of a good brand, let me know.

You know, that's the best kind of wheeling imo. You're WAYY out of your comfort zone but when you turn around and look at what you just went over, you get a whole new appreciation of the toughest four letter on wheels, ya know? I've been peer pressured onto trails that I didn't even want to walk on, less drive on, and when I get to the end... well there's really no way to describe it. Feels good though.

yup! shortly after that there was a log that i knew would be a problem
i got hung up on the frame rails and it took 2 winches to get me off of it
nobody thought i could make it and started to grab the chainsaw to make an escape rout, i said give me one more shot and hit it at an angle, nobody had a camera rolling because they thought i had no chance. i got the front right up and stomped on it it, my back right caught and threw the back end about 4' to the left and hooked up. wish we had a camera rolling, awesome feeling.
in one of the vids you can here someone say "i always hated those grands, until i watched that one act like its locked/locked all day!"
thats gotta make you smile when you hear that and your open/open

Minus the military police. I couldn't get that off without taking the paint with it.

Mounted 8 100w kcs and an 8 foot cb whip to my fender. Also does anyone have a build thread where they wired there lights and made it look clean so you can't see the wires

My trans seemed to have fixed itself?

Before, it would grind and hop under any kind of acceleration that wasn't super light. Now today it loves being floored and chirps the tires?

I'm lost.

There's a 4 letter word stamped to the hood that will explain everything

Fixed rear door ajar from coming up on the vic. Turns out between two parts, I can't even make one. One latch worked until it broke, then the second one doesn't have the metal sliver that pushes the sensor switch to the open position. Long story: pulled the sensor connector so it's always open - Vic message is gone.

Adjusted front door latch so it can open from the outside now. Note to self: don't close door with window up when changing to another latch since it may not open from the outside.

Just drove it around and ran some errands.

I don't have VIC, but the cheaper base-model option with the light-up 4WD mode display. Sometimes, the green lights for the rear wheels work, sometimes they don't... Weird. Kinda bugs me. I want those bottom 2 green lights on all the damn time.

Punch the display. That makes mine work sometimes

Just rip it out, put some switches or something in its place. You got the shifter to tell you what your transfer case is in

Gotta love the side mirrors. Those things will take a beating and snap back into place.
