i got rear ended wiht mine today.... waiting to turn into the school parking lot and got smacked right in the rear right section of the bumper. destroyed that section of bumper, the taillight, knocked the muffler off the hangar so it presses my mudflap against my tire... so i dont have a jeep right now :/ hopefully dad lets me drive his old ZJ since he now has his Lexus RX300 (what a lucky f***)

Yeah that sounds like some BS HOA garbage. You'll have to find the ordinance pertaining to that and study up on it. I would start doing all my work on the street or in the front yard from now on though.

yeah, no HOA, just ****ty neighbors haha. i dont give a **** if i offend them, all my other neighbors love me. i had to move my xj today to clean out the garage and the evil neighbors werent home and i had to jump the xj to get it started since it had been sitting for 2 months and i let it idle the whole time i was in the garage which was like 40 minutes. not one single neighbor complained and everyone i saw outside i waved to, and they waved back. but im banned from working on my jeeps mainly because of my parents..they wont let me work on them because they dont want to have to deal with anything.

oh, and as stated, i had to pull the xj out so i got some pics of it next to the zj haha..man it makes me want to get the zj bigger alot faster lol

Not today, but last night I finally installed the hitch that I had been hauling around in the back of my jeep for the last 2 weeks. It's used, and was pulled of an XJ that came into my work about a month ago because the ball mount was seized (rusted) into the reciever. It took a lot of heat and beating with a sledge & pry bar to get the old ball mount out, then some drilling & grinding to make the bolt holes line up with the factory studs. Two hours later I had her hitched.

Gof my first quote on the ZJ today.... They said the bumper needs replaced, tail light and it bent the tail pipe and crumbled the catalyic converter. So the exhaust system needs replaced as well. So it's sitting around $1200.00.... Good thing is that I still have our '97 ZJ to drive

Changed remaining oils for the trip to Lappland. Now everything is proof down to -50C (-58F) for the insane cold starts.
