Finally got the rear battery wired in, installed cd player, components up front, and 2 channel mids/highs amp. Have to send my RD amp in for repair and build a box for my 15" and itll be spare tire on left side, box in middle, and amp rack/battery box on right side should all fit in pretty well.

Looks fairly clean for now. And atleast now I have music!

I'm thinkin about putting a power inverter in it. Nothin huge. Probably 500watt max but I dont really want to run more wire thru the firewall. The 400 watt cobra you can plug into cigarette lighter but you can only pull 150watt from it. Would that be enough probably to charge a 18volt drill battery? Lets see your guys power inverter setus

I might have to get one of those. And I like to get as much as I can possible for my jeep at advance cause a buddy of mine that has an Xj works there. They have decent prices too. Does it have a cigarette plug?and how much can you draw when it is plugged into the cigarette if it has it?

It does have a Cig plug which I ran on the drivers side right behind the spare tire. Honestly I really haven't used it much. I believe it has a 800watt Max.

Don't forget to use this

Aren't you better off just getting another battery and trickle charging it? You can't use that inverter for long before your ZJ won't start.

Something like that that wouldn't drain the main battery. It would be great to have it wired to the alt with a switch.

I probably wouldn't do that. I dot really want to run yet another wire thru the fire wall. I'd use it for when we go camping. And to charge battery's on the trail and stuff for if anything breaks so I can use my craftsman power tool kit. It's pretty nice. Has a saws all, drill , circular saw,an impact, and a flood light.

Have the same kit. I bought a inverter at fleet farm for $39 I think, came with heavy cables to hook it to the bat. Could drill a hole in the floor, under the carpet and wire it to the starter, but you'd have to remember to shut it off.

I started my jeep to go home for lunch and it idled at 1500 rpm and check engine light came on. The damn TPS took a crap. Oh well, $35 later, back on the road running great.
