I still have my first car. I have purchased and sold a couple of vehicles between the Caprice and my Jeep. I do occasionally wonder what they're doing and if they're still around. I know my old S10 got crushed because the guy I sold it to didn't take to heart the advice I gave him about adding a quart of oil to the engine everytime the tank got filled. No oil isn't good. I'll probably never sell my Caprice because of my "attachment" to it. I completely understand that.

i saw my first car on craigslist like 7 years after i sold it. it was a 65 mustang. but the guy had it with no fenders, all rusted out, and no rear axle. hmmm, now that i think about it, it did have a 9inch rear , and was narrow. shoulda hit him up for it for the ZJ...

I would've kept my first car had it not rotted out to pieces. I loved it and it was great on gas, and quick enough too (had a Sentra, no fans on this board I know, but was quite modified). LOTS of memories in that thing...

What did I do to my ZJ today? Repainted my orange turn signal lights.

Brought it home again, for the last time, after a little rolling burnout in elites parking lot lol. Foa says the shocks will be here Friday. Also very happy I drove it into elites shop, 2 days later not a single drop of fluid on the ground.

Sorry I didn't get in pics. I worked late and it was dark before I could of got any. Basically all it is is an "L" bracket me and my grandpa made out of angle. After I get a cb in it I think I'm going to get fog lights. I seen some. Idk what brand they were but they were bigger and hade the grill type deal on them. Like 30$ a piece at advance auto parts. But get those and maybe driving lights that match those. Same size and all. Probably make a light bar that mounts were I have the brackets now. Fogs on the outside and driving lights on the inside. And then I would do relays for both and put an identical switch above the Vic. The only reason I didn't do a relay was cause it didn't come with one. Idk what for a relay I should get though

Don't apologize! Sounds like my setup with the brackets. I'm going to change mine up this weekend though.

I can understand not wanting to cut into your dash, but if done right and carefully you can do some very nice modifications. I'm going to be working on installing a double din head unit and picked up a few tools yesterday along with some jack stands that where all on sale.

I pulled the dash pad out of this junkyard jeep the other day, will be using the dash pad to figure out the best way to install the double din head unit before cutting into my jeep.

My CB antenna uses a magnetic mount on the roof rack.

I found fog lights identical to my driving lights. I think I might get them sometime. Are you making your own light bar or buying one?il, probably make my own. You think it would be ok to not use relays? They are only 55watt. They don't come with any. They come with a 15 amp fuse and the switch I got also has. 15 amp fuse built in. And I'm going to use the same type of switch.

How tall is it? And how did you run the cable for the antenna into the cab? I think Roof mount wouldn't be bad if it's not to tall.

I'm pretty sure we have the same lights (Blazer ones that get full of condensation when it rains, lol), and I have those fogs too. I'm probably going to make my own light bar, but I don't know how I'm going to pull that off without a bumper. I just had them wired like the kit said, into the 15A fuse, one wire to the battery terminal and the other to the switch. When I had the fogs on (I had all 4 on in front at the same time) I just spliced that wire into the switch from the driving lights, so all 4 would be on at the same time. I say you are fine with the kit wiring.

I'm just confused about how I'm going to mount 4 lights now that I have no bumper cover lol.

Yep iv got blazers. Havnt had any rain since I got them on so I havnt seen it.lol. I don't have a bumper cover. Well I do but it's on the floor of my shop. But all I was gonna do is get some tube steel and bend it and smash down the ends drill a hole there. It would mount to the same holes I have my two driving lights in now. Just that it would kinda arch around and weld some tabs on to that. I'll draw somthin up tomorrow iv got the day off and don't have alot to do.haha. Do you have one to put on? All I would do just get a piece of angle and drill holes to mount it to the bumper in the hole next to the big open hole. That's what I did.then just drill holes at x distance apart from each other. I'd how that would look though.

Yeah I had it that way actually, how you described it, and it looked normal because the bumper cover was on and you couldn't see the angle, and the lights sat on top of the bumper cover. Now that the cover's off, the lights are just going to stick out, which looks stupid in my opinion. I'm going to fab up something this weekend though, I'll let you know!
