I've never had any problems with them. Plus I got the battery for 50 bucks.

I average close to 20 mpg so it's not the worst. I was close to your neck of the woods today. Bought a 460hp big block for the chevelle. Going in in the morning. Should be shredding tires by noon.

you do use more gas after the half mark because of evaporation. It's one of the first things you learn when you work with echeck emissions which is why they test your gas cap it allows a minimum amount of evaporation but it does still make it's way out of the tank not going through the engine. so the answer is yes you use less gas from full to half then you do from half to empty less room to evaporate from full and from half to empty there is more room for the vapor itself to escape the tank the fuel pump can only suck liquid not fume because it is not designed to suck in vapor

I don't know for sure but I would think carrying around the extra 120 lbs of gas for no reason would use more gas than evaporation.
