Im at 3.5 iro. 35s. Don't do it unless you like to cut and weld. 33s will be perfect. I ran 33s for a while. Flexed like crazy.

Friday - bought and got a Dynomax Super Turbo welded in. Sounds amazing at idle, really nice when revving, when driving there's a bit of low end drone which is kind of annoying, but I am happy overall

Friday night - took it to my buddy's cottage, icy roads, slid into some guys BMW parked on my buddy's property (it was his neighbor), put a tiny dent in my left quarter, and cracked his bumper.

Saturday and Sunday - fun in the snow and on the dirt roads.

Stiffened the rear part of my unibody where the hitch/rear bumper bolt on. Since the last disaster on a fishing trip, I decided to stiffen it using 3x3 x 1/4" angle iron. Welded them in and tomorrow im dropping the fuel tank to weld in some plate on the inside of the frame.
some pics.

Drivers side

Still have some more work to do on the frame. Then coat it with undercoating or bed liner.
Only thing I messed up on is not drilling the bolt holes before welding. Now i have to go under there and drill upwards. Gonna suck.

I love the Welding cart

"aut viam inveniam aut faciam"

I hate when old people poke me at weddings, point and whisper, "You're next." So I've started doing the same thing to them at funerals

Very nice day out yesterday so I did a few things to the Jeep.
Replaced the worn out tail-gate struts.
Replaced the blown speakers in the back doors.
Topped off fluids.

Man, I feel fortunate. My tail gate opens stronger in my zj than it does in my wk

I hooked up my sway bars for the first time in months. I feel like as my springs break in I'm getting more body roll. It was fun at first but started getting pretty scary in construction zones.

Also can't decide on if its worth it to repack my rear end. My pinion bearing is making noise when the oil warms up but the yoke has no slop. If I'm gonna pull the carrier to replace that I might as well replace the carrier bearings and shaft bearings as well. The master kits just under 100 on amazon which includes shims and sleeves, I believe. Or do I just run thicker oil?

Broke my 5thfront sway bar link broke my selec trac shifter linkage and there was a platic ball hanging down after i went through a big mud hole and before my friends could tell me it fell off and i ran it over. Can you guys tell me what it was. All there is left is a hose behind where the front bumper used to be

Post some pics of the tube. I was breaking extended end links left and right so after years of avoiding it, I finally broke down and got the JKS discos. No more hassle.
