Congrats. Was it your first try? Stick with it, I don't know how many people lost their cert's from lack of continual ed and regretted it. Well done!!!

replaced the tone ring on my original axle shaft, and put tone rings on my spare axles. A very easy task.

If at first you don't succeed, use more speed.

Ended up doing some wheeling near my house after the casino. The road narrowed towards the end with a nice tumble off a high cliff on one side then politely ended into a hiking trail with very little room to turn around. It was a skid mark factor of around 6 turning back maybe because of the loose rock and possible death. Otherwise some pretty nice views. It kind of starts to look the same in the pictures. You can really see how 14 years of desert sun will lighten the paint job on the metal, the plastic is still darker. The front tire rubs the fender a little bit and I forgot to check and see if I was bottoming my shocks out. I just stuck some hockey pucks in the coils the other day.

Polka - It's interesting that your paint is faded more on the metal than the plastic. On my slate 5.9, the metal is still dead on to the color code, the plastic bumpers, etc, are still a match, but the paint on the grille is faded, and the hood vents have very little paint left. The rocker covers are a little bit faded and starting to peel at the tops as well.

On topic, I changed the oil in it today.

I painted the vents but in direct sunlight you can definitely see the difference in value between the metal and plastic. I wonder if the plastic got darker? Who knows. I kind of like it.

Got my new replacement cat a couple of days ago, tried to take the old one out last night. Got as far as to breaking one of the exhaust clamp bolts off and rounding the sensor while trying to get it off the cat. Realized it won't come off without major work, so put off the replacement for now and instead ordered new clamps and a sensor and then the old cat will be taken off with an angle grinder. And man, rust can be pretty most as solid as a weld.

Hooked up my new dash camera, full HD and IR LEDs for night. Then loaded it up for tomorrow, I'm doing recovery for a rally, so hopefully I just get to read my book all day and don't have too many people off the road.
