5.2 in the 97 limited. Wasn't too bad of job had it done in about 4 to 5 hours. What was weird was people had mentioned to do the kegger mod but once i got it open to my surprise no mod needed. Did they at some point stop putting that divider in the middle??? It wasn't cut out because it was way to perfect at the seems

Refitted factory radio after the PO hacked off the connectors and left me with a wire puzzle.It took a while but I now know where every color wire goes and what it does.
Checked and topped up all fluid levels and made a list of things to do. Bought this ZJ as a daily winter driver but I am enjoying it that much it could be the start of something.

Yesterday-
  • Got my sub and amp install completed. Stereo section of the initial phase is finished. Remote starter swap is ready to go.
  • Got the old spark plugs, wires, rotor, and cap removed
  • Installed the new spark plugs, rotor, and cap.
  • Only put in half of the spark plug wires because in the midst of removing the PCV valve, I decided to allow the broken bottom piece to fall through the grommet. Tried to get the valve cover off and failed (A/C components in the way. Then I tried to get out the grommet and ended up destroying it. There goes $25...
  • Cleaned and polished the exhaust tip. Looks good now!
  • Killed the battery...again.

can anybody give me a link to HIDs for my fogs? ive been looking around on ebay and just want to make sure i get the right ones. i have a burnt out fog light i love my fogs so i wanna get them back working but want to do HIDs. and yes i know im gonna get **** for doing HIDs but since all i do is back roads driving, they would come in handy. ive already almost hit 2 deer in my zj and had to slam the brakes at the last minute but if i could see them better, i could just slow down haha.

guess thats what i miss about my xj. i took out 3 deer in the span of putting the new bumper on before i put on my HIDs and they did no damage to it. after i put HIDs in my xj, i could easily see them and just slow down and let them cross. i dont like hitting animals if i dont have to.

anyways, just drove it today, kicked some salt off it, cant wait until summer when i can really clean it up and fix the cancer. its not much, alot less than my 99 xj but still..i hate rust.

also, anyone know the best place to buy an adapter for my stereo from my xj?

-Installed the new radiator
-Replaced the black dash pieces with woodgrain
-Put on locking gas cap since I did the TJ bezel

Also fixed the heat in my Uncle's 2001 XJ... I've never seen so much crap come out of a heater core while I was back flushing it!

yesterday: successfully made the two hour road trip to manhattan with the 5spd zj she runs great
