Friday, '94 Jeep went to the car wash. Got a good vacuuming too. Worked on home made cold air intake. The last one was a prototype. I reused a cone filter that I cleaned and oiled after 6 months on the shelf. I used 2 3" PVC drain pipes (street 22 degree from LOWES) and glue. They have to be adjusted to fit in the space of the old box filter. Mark the alignment with a marker, then glue. Then machine down female end to fit into rubber throttle body hose. Now drill holes for hose adapter for 1/2 hoses on opposite sides. I used Gorilla superglue and 2 part epoxy. I'm still working on suspending hose. Bungee cord for now. Put a flex downspout from the lower front grill to below the cone air filter. Also I moved the air temperature sensor from the intake manifold to the air path for the new cold intake.

Gona start taking the front end apart here in a couple minutes, will the carrier out of my lp30 fit in a hp30? I'm asking because on rustys site there's only one carrier for the dana 30s. If i can re-use the carrier in the hp30 it'll save me a little money at least.

They are the same. Gears no, but the rest pretty much is.

we discoverd all of you! (now we want your help )

Our '96 Grand Cherokee 6 cly owners manual says we can flat tow. But internet searches suggest not. After shifting trans into neutral, shift transfer case into neutral & turn ignition key to unlocked off & shift auto transmission into park ...and then we hook up to RV?

Should be alright like that. The tcase is lubed by a pump that spins if the ds is spinning.

With your transmission in neutral (even with the transfer case in neutral) the output shaft of your transmission will be spinning when the vehicle is moving. This will cause premature failure of the overdrive unit due to lack of lubrication and cooling.

Putting the transmission in Park stops all components in the transmission from turning preventing said excessive wear and tear.
found this answer for ya
